About the Customer
Founded in 1947, Wanzl is the world’s largest manufacturer of shopping and luggage trolleys.
With their application areas of Retail, Material Handling, Airport, Access and Hotel, Wanzl solutions are always associated with exceptional quality, attractive aesthetics and distinctive design, combined with optimum ergonomics.
The Challenge
Every shopping trolley is different. The customization options for Wanzl shopping trolleys are enormous.
Therefore the need for an application which would allow visitors of the Wanzl website to explore all possible add ons and options of their products easily and realistically.
Another goal was to improve sales processes, giving website visitors access to informational material for their exact configuration and get in touch with the sales team directly about their specific wishes.
The Solution
VisCircle built the 3d configurator from A to Z, starting with a concept phase, including the responsive design for seamless integration to the Wanzl website on any device. On top of the main product configuration options, users are also enabled to upload and place logos and set up custom colors in the 3d preview.
The Additional Value
The application was extended to cover 5 different products with all their options. Website visitors can access their configuration via a direct link and download a dynamically generated PDF brochure, which lists all options and contains multiple images of the exact configured product. A built in contact form sends the request with all necessary details of the website visitor to the sales team.
By integrating the 3D configurator into the sales organisation, it has been possible to sell significantly more units more quickly and sales were increased by 12%.
