About the Customer
Allied Maker’s mission is to deliver artisan crafted, highly engineered, sophisticated yet simple lighting design solutions. The studio’s inspiration is fueled by an obsession with natural materials such as Brass, Glass, and Hardwoods along with a love for artisan craftsmanship.
Allied Maker starts the process with outstanding raw materials like thick gauge brass, solid American hardwoods, and hand-blown glass. The parts are individually finished by hand to create a signature quality standard.
The Challenge
The combination of different product parts which can consist of various materials results in an extremely high number of possible product variants that are individually crafted. It is not possible to display this variety on a website using traditional product photography, as it would theoretically require millions of images to be displayed. Therefore products could only be shown in the form of examples.
A very realistic visual appearance of the products and the materials they consist of was one of the most important criteria for Allied Maker when choosing the provider and the technology for a 3D configurator.
The Solution
With VisCircle’s real-time 3D visualization technology it was possible to achieve a very high degree of realism directly in the web browser.
The end customer is able to directly see and inspect exactly his or her individual product and get a feeling for the craftsmanship as well as a perfect impression of the materials used.
